1. Who we are
LineScout ("we," "us") operates LineScout.net, a sports odds and analytics service. For any privacy question, contact us at support@linescout.net. This policy applies to visitors and account holders worldwide.
2. Information we collect
We aim to collect only what we need to run the Service:
- Account information — when you register, your email address and username, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Preferences — settings such as your theme, timezone, and odds format, so the site behaves the way you like.
- Payment information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor (for example, Stripe). We do not collect or store your full card details on our servers; we receive only limited information such as a confirmation and the last digits of the card.
- Usage and device data — standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected through server logs and, where enabled, analytics tools.
- Communications — if you email us, we keep your message and contact details to respond.
3. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies:
- Essential cookies keep you logged in and remember your preferences (theme, timezone, odds format). The Service cannot function properly without these.
- Analytics cookies, where enabled, help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including password hashing and encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

10. International data transfers
We operate online and may process and store data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers. By using the Service, you understand your data may be transferred to and processed in these locations.

The Service is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 (or under the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
